What to expect at your visit

From your first estimate to picking up your keys, here’s how it works.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Your estimate

A technician looks over the damage with you and explains what needs to be fixed. Estimates are always free. Walk-ins are welcome, or schedule ahead to cut your wait. If we find hidden damage once parts come off, we'll contact you, and your insurance company if you have a claim, and update your estimate before moving forward.

  2. Getting around

In most cases, your insurance covers a rental car while yours is being repaired. We'll help set it up, usually through Hertz or Enterprise.

  3. We keep you posted

You'll hear from us by call, text, or email, whichever you prefer, when your repair starts, if anything changes, and when your car is ready. We can send photo updates along the way, too. Questions in between? Call your location anytime.

  4. Picking up your car

Every repair gets a multi-point inspection, and we wash your car before you pick it up. We'll walk around it with you and show you the finished work. If your safety cameras or sensors needed recalibrating, that's already done.

  5. Paying

Pay at pickup, or spread the cost out with Mountain America Credit Union financing. Learn more

Common questions

Don’t see yours? Call any location and we’ll walk you through it.

No. In Utah, you choose where your car is repaired. When an adjuster suggests a shop, it’s usually one in that insurer’s Direct Repair Program (DRP), which is a pricing agreement between the insurance company and the shop. It doesn’t change what your policy covers.

Young Collision Center is a DRP partner for many insurers and works with all of them, so choosing us won’t slow down your claim. We’ve been part of this community for 102 years.

It means the company that built your car has trained and approved our technicians to repair it. We follow the manufacturer’s own repair instructions, so the frame, crumple zones, and airbags protect you the way they were designed to.

We’re also I-CAR Gold Class certified, a level reached by about 1 in 5 collision shops nationwide.

Your backup camera, blind-spot warning, lane-departure alert, and automatic braking all depend on cameras and sensors in your bumpers, mirrors, and windshield. Even a small accident or a bumper replacement can knock them slightly out of position, and then they may not work correctly.

Calibration resets them to the manufacturer’s exact settings. We use manufacturer-approved calibration tools, and when your car needs it, it’s a standard part of our repair, not an extra.

You can finance it. Through Mountain America Credit Union, you can pay your deductible in monthly payments instead of all at once. Plenty of our customers choose this.

We can’t waive deductibles, but if you have an active vehicle service contract, you may get a deductible credit of up to $1,000.

Ask about financing when you get your estimate, or see how financing works. Financing is subject to credit approval.

  1. Contact us or your insurance company to get started.
  2. Bring your car in for a free estimate.
  3. Your insurance company reviews the estimate.
  4. We repair your car. Small jobs take a few days, and bigger ones usually take 1 to 2 weeks.
  5. You pick it up, and we walk you through the repair.

Paying yourself? You skip step 3. Here’s how that works.

Yes. Our lifetime guarantee covers all the workmanship on your repair, and it comes from Young Collision Center, not your insurance company. So it covers our work whether or not we’re on your insurer’s preferred list.
